We are excited to announce an upgrade to your Account, aimed at providing you with an enhanced crypto trading experience. The upgrade involves migrating your account to our trusted crypto service provider, Bakkt Crypto Solutions. However, please note that only users who reside in Hawaii, Louisiana, New Jersey, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina and Virginia, are eligible to migrate. Additionally, the migration process is available exclusively on our iOS and Android applications. Depending on your current account status and holdings, the process may vary.
Below is a step-by-step guide outlining the migration process tailored to different user scenarios.
Account Upgrade Process
Step 1: Reviewing the Upgrade Notice
When you log into your Blockchain.com Account, you will see an important notice about the upgrade on your dashboard. This notice will inform you of the upcoming upgrade.
Step 2: Initiate the Upgrade
Depending on your current account status and holdings, follow the appropriate scenario below to initiate the upgrade:
Scenario 1: No Funds in Wallet
Click on the "Review the Terms of Service" button. After you have read the terms carefully, click on the "Continue" button to begin the migration process.
Scenario 2: Users with all balances supported by our crypto service provider, Bakkt Crypto Solutions
Click on the "Upgrade account" button. Check the necessary boxes to acknowledge the upgrade terms and click on the "Upgrade" button to proceed.
Scenario 3: Users with balances that are not supported by our crypto service provider, Bakkt Crypto Solutions
Click on the "Upgrade account" button. Check the necessary boxes to acknowledge the upgrade terms and click on the "Continue" button to proceed to the Asset Consolidation screen.
On this screen you will find all your assets that need to be consolidated to Bitcoin (BTC) in order to upgrade your account.
This includes:
- Any balances higher than $0.50 USD.
- Balances (including Fiat: USD, EUR, GBP) of assets not listed below:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Ethereum (ETH)
- Ethereum Classic (ETC)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
Confirm the consolidation and account upgrade by clicking on the “Upgrade” button.
Step 3: Migration in Progress
Once confirmed, your account upgrade will be in progress. The migration may take up to 24 hours, during which your funds may be temporarily inaccessible. Rest assured, our team is working diligently to minimize any disruption.
Step 4: Success!
Upon successful migration, you will receive a confirmation that your account has been upgraded. You can now enjoy enhanced crypto trading features on our platform.

What should I know after successfully upgrading my account?
The following information applies to customers in HI, LA, NJ, NV, TN, NY, TX, NC, and VA who have successfully completed the account upgrade.
What are the deposit and withdrawal limits?
- The minimum deposit is $10 USD.
- The minimum withdrawal is $10 USD.
- The maximum amount for both deposits and withdrawals is $5,000 USD per transaction.
Which currencies are currently supported?
At this time, customers in HI, LA, NJ, NV, TN, NY, TX, NC, and VA can make USD ACH deposits and withdrawals.
Card payments and wire transfers are not currently available.
Which crypto services are available?
Customers who have successfully completed verification and account migration can currently buy and sell the following cryptocurrencies:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Ethereum (ETH)
- Ethereum Classic (ETC)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
We're continuing to expand our product offering and look forward to introducing additional cryptocurrencies and features over time.
How can I access my account?
At this time, the upgraded account experience is available through the Blockchain.com mobile app, providing a secure and streamlined way to manage your account.
Desktop web access is not currently supported as part of this experience. As we continue to expand our services, additional access options may become available.
In the meantime, you can confidently use the mobile app to access and manage your account.
Can I deposit or withdraw cryptocurrency from my Trading Account?
As we continue to expand our services, USD ACH deposits and withdrawals are currently available for your migrated Trading Account.
Cryptocurrency transfers to and from your Trading Account, including transfers to external wallets and third-party platforms, are not currently supported.
Can I still use my DeFi Wallet?
Yes. Your non-custodial DeFi Wallet continues to support sending and receiving supported cryptocurrencies as usual.
Please note that transferring cryptocurrency between your non-custodial Wallet and your migrated Trading Account is not currently supported.
You can continue managing your crypto assets in your DeFi Wallet while we work to expand the functionality of your Trading Account.
July 2026 update:
Users from Hawaii (HI), Virginia (VA), New Jersey (NJ) and Tennessee (TN) who created their accounts before June 17, 2026, and have already been onboarded to Bakkt will continue to be serviced under the existing Bakkt framework. Users who created their accounts on or after July, 2026, as well as users who have not yet completed their Bakkt migration, will be onboarded directly onto the Blockchain.com platform.
