I'm getting the message "Error decrypting wallet"

The error message “Error decrypting wallet” means the password you’re using when attempting to log in is incorrect. Unfortunately, we're unable to help you retrieve or reset your password, because we don't have access to it.

If you find yourself in this situation, we recommend trying the steps below:

  1. Try to log in using every possible password combination you may have used.
  2. Your 12 word Wallet Recovery Phrase can be used if you forget your password. Enter the phrase using this form to restore your wallet and the funds it contained. Note that you will need to re-verify your identity within the wallet in order to access any custodial balances or use custodial services like Buy/Sell, Swap and the Rewards Account.
  3. If you don't have your password or your recovery phrase, you can restore your custodial (Trading Account and Rewards Account) balances by resetting your account and re-verifying your identity to create a new wallet linked to your existing Blockchain.com account. However, funds stored in your non-custodial (Private Key Wallet) balance will not be restored.
