The Ethereum (ETH) merge is expected to take place on or around September 14-15, 2022.
Here’s what you can expect from Blockchain.com during the merge.
What is the ETH merge?
The ETH merge is the most significant and anticipated upgrade to the Ethereum blockchain to date. It will result in the blockchain changing its consensus mechanism from Proof-of-Work (PoW) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS).
The merge is expected to reduce Ethereum’s energy consumption by ~99.5% and set the stage for a more energy efficient and scalable future. You can learn more about the ETH merge here.

Will Blockchain.com support the new ETH PoW asset?
