If you claimed NIGHT during the Midnight Glacier Drop, your tokens unlock (or “thaw”) over time and can now be redeemed in the Blockchain.com mobile app (iOS or Android).
Redemption is not available on the web app — only mobile supports the flow.
Your NIGHT unlocks in 4 parts of 25% each over 360 days.
The first 25% unlocks at a random time between Day 1 and Day 90 starting from Dec 10, 2025. After that, each remaining 25% unlocks every 90 days.
Here’s an example of how an unlock schedule might look:
- Day 1–90 (starting Dec 10, 2025): First 25% unlocks at a random date
- +90 days: Second 25% unlocks
+180 days: Third 25% unlocks - +270 days: Fourth 25% unlocks
You’ll see your exact dates inside the app.
Thaw vs Redeem:
- Thaw = Tokens become eligible for redemption but aren’t usable yet
Redeem = You perform a Cardano transaction to move the tokens into your DeFi Wallet
Even after a tranche thaws, you must redeem it before you can use or transfer it.
Redemption requires a small amount of ADA to pay the Cardano network fee.
