Deletion is permanent and irreversible
Please ensure your account has no remaining crypto or fiat balance, as deletion is permanent. Once completed, you’ll be logged out and will no longer receive login authorization emails from Blockchain.com. The only remaining way to access you deleted account would be using your recovery phrase
Before deleting your account
Before you proceed, make sure that:
- You understand that access to both Trading Account and Defi Wallet through Blockchain.com will no longer be available after deletion.
- You have securely saved your DeFi Wallet recovery phrase, as it is crucial for recovering your non-custodial balances.
- The recovery phrase will allow you to import your balance into the third party wallet, as deletion locks the non-custodial wallet.
To export your Recovery Phrase for wallet backup:
- On the web, log in, go to Profile > Security, and click Backup in the Recovery Phrase section. Read the disclaimer, reveal the 12 words, write them down carefully, and confirm them.
- On mobile, log in, go to Profile > Security, tap Backup Phrase, reveal the phrase, write it down, and verify it.
Is my non-custodial wallet will be also deleted?
Please note that the Defi Wallet is a non-custodial wallet file. Unlike a custodial account (such as a credit card or bank account), it is fully encrypted and managed directly by you. Because of this, we cannot make changes to or delete these wallet files.
However, client made deletion locks the non-custodial wallet and it can no longer be accessed, or used for trading. Once deleted, recovery of the crypto assests with the seed phrase is possible only on the third party wallet.
While GDPR and Right to Erasure regulations require us to remove any personal data stored on our systems, the non-custodial Wallet doesn’t store personal information. This is why deletion requests don’t apply to these files.
Stop receiving emails
If you wish to stop receiving our marketing communications, you can manually unsubscribe from newsletter@email.blockchain.com.
You can immediately stop any marketing communication by clicking a button "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of an email from us. The process is immediate and will remove your address from our mailing list.
If you have problem with this process, do not hesitate on contacting us and our internal team will manually help you with your request.
How do I delete my Wallet on web?
To delete your Blockchain.com Trading account on the web:
- Log in to your Blockchain.com account.
- Click on the Settings option in the top-right corner.
- In the Security section, choose Advanced.
- Scroll down to locate the Danger Zone section.
- Click Delete. A confirmation window will appear.
- Confirm Deletion. Carefully read all warnings, then click Delete Account.
How do I delete my Wallet on iOS?
To delete your Blockchain.com Trading account on iOS:
- Navigate to Settings in the top left corner
- Scroll down to Security section and click Delete Account
- Make sure you've withdrawn all your crypto and fiat and click Delete Account again.
- Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the confirmation field and confirm the deletion.
Your Blockchain.com Account will now be deleted.
On Android
To delete your Blockchain.com Trading account on Android:
- Go to Settings in the top-left corner.
- Scroll to Account and look for the Delete Account button at the bottom.
- Ensure you’ve withdrawn all crypto and fiat, then click Done.
- Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the confirmation field and click Delete Account to finalize the process.
Your Blockchain.com Account will now be deleted.
