If you’ve received a notification about an account creation that you didn’t initiate, it’s understandable to feel a bit uneasy. The good news is that as long as you don't interact with the email, your information remains secure.
Here is how you should handle the situation:
- Do not click "Confirm" or any other buttons within the email. Without your explicit verification, the account cannot be fully activated.

I am contacted by a crypto recovery agency after fraudulent activity
Blockchain.com does not provide or endorse any "stolen fund recovery", or "stolen fund tracking" services.
If a company or individual claims they can recover your stolen crypto for a fee, please stay alert since fraudulent impersonators are often targeting previous victims of fraud. Mind, that:
- Legitimate services will never ask for a "clearance fee" or "tax" to return your funds. Never pay upfront.
- Do not share personal information, passwords, or 12-word recovery phrases. At most, a public crypto wallet address is the only information required for transaction verification.
- We recommend cooperating directly with your local law enforcement.
Blockchain.com partnerships with a third party company and offers lost crypto recovery due to lost password, or other account access issues. However, do not offer stolen fund recovery.
