Customers onboarding in the United Kingdom may be eligible to complete identity verification without uploading a physical identity document, such as a passport or driver's licence.
Instead, you can verify your identity using one of the available non-document verification methods.
Start your verification
- Log into your wallet via web browser
- Select Verify your Identity and click Get Started.
- Type your Name and Date of Birth and click Next.
- Type in your address or click Add My Address to manually fill address information and click Confirm.
- Complete the Use of Account Information form and click Continue.
- Click Start Verification
- Click Next after agreeying to the Privacy Notice
- Choose issuing country and your preferred verification method
To verify your identity, choose the document you would like to submit for validation. Alternatively, you may be presented with one of the following non-document verification options: eVisa, or Online Banking
To finish verification you would also need to:
- Complete Selfie check
- Confirm whether you are a UK tax resident and provide your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), if applicable.
Please ensure that all information matches your official records and is accurate and up to date.
Verifying with your eVisa
To verify using your eVisa:
- Select eVisa.
- Enter your date of birth.
- Enter your share code.
- Continue to the next step.
Verifying with Online Banking
To verify using Online Banking:
- Select Online Banking.
- Choose your bank from the list of supported providers.
- Sign in to your online banking account and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Information required for verification will be securely retrieved from your bank.
Complete the selfie check
After completing either verification method, you'll be asked to complete a liveness check by taking a selfie.
This helps us confirm that you are the person completing the verification.
Provide your tax information
As part of UK regulatory requirements, you'll also need to:
- Provide your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), if applicable.
- Confirm your country or countries of tax residency.
- Self-certify that the information provided is accurate.
What happens after I submit?
In most cases, no further action is required, however, additional reviews may be required if we cannot verify certain information automatically. Our team may contact you and ask for additional documentation before verification can be completed. For example, you may be asked to provide a paper-based proof of address document, such as:
- A utility bill
- A bank statement
- Another accepted proof of address document
