You can buy Options directly through your Blockchain.com account using funds from your Trading Account.
Before you start
To trade Options, you'll need:
- An eligible and verified Blockchain.com account.
- Access to Options in your country or region.
- A Blockchain.com Trading Account with enough USDC to cover your purchase and applicable fees.
- To review and accept the applicable Options terms and risk acknowledgements.
How to buy an Option
- Open Blockchain.com and navigate to Options.
- Select the cryptocurrency you want to trade.
- Choose your target price and expiry date.
- Select the price direction you expect.
- Enter the amount you want to spend.
- Review your Option details, including the strike price, expiry, premium, fees and potential payout information.
- Confirm your purchase before the quote expires.
Once your purchase is confirmed, the premium and upfront fee will be deducted from your Trading Account.
Your Option will appear in your open Options.
What is the minimum amount I can trade?
The minimum premium is currently $5, excluding applicable fees.
The minimum amount and other trading limits may change. Check the amount displayed when placing your trade.
Why did my quote change or expire?
Option prices change with market conditions.
When you request a quote, it's only valid for a limited time, currently 30 seconds.
If your quote expires, you'll need to request a new one. The premium and other details may have changed.
Once you've purchased an Option, the accepted premium won't be repriced because of ordinary market movements.
Can I change my Option after purchasing it?
No. Once your purchase is confirmed, you cannot change its strike price, expiry date or other terms, or close it early.
Make sure to review the details carefully before confirming.
Important: Your purchase is final, except in limited circumstances where Blockchain.com may cancel or terminate an Option under the Options Agreement.
