In response to new UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules regarding the promotion of crypto assets, we are required to ask you a few additional questions in order to continue offering our services.
What's changing?
To comply with FCA regulations, all UK customers, new and existing, must complete a brief investor “appropriateness assessment” ensuring you understand the risks associated with the crypto assets you buy. Once this is completed, there will be no other impact to your Blockchain.com experience.
I’m a UK User, what's in store for me?
To maintain uninterrupted access to Blockchain.com products, both new and existing users are required to complete an assessment questionnaire (appropriateness assessment) and self-categorisation document.
New UK users: You will receive a prompt to complete the questionnaire during your account creation process.
Existing UK users: You will receive a prompt to complete the questionnaire when you next sign in.
What do I need to do?
UK users will receive a prompt to complete the questionnaire when you update your app and sign in. To avoid any interruptions in using Blockchain.com products we ask you to please complete the assessment questionnaire as soon as possible.
Update App
Please ensure you’re updating to version 2024.01.1 or higher. If you have any questions or concerns, our Support team is available to help.
What happens if I don’t successfully complete the assessment on my first go?
Don’t worry, if you don’t pass, you can retry immediately. If you don’t pass on your second go, you can try again 24h later.
Please note that our Affiliate and Referral programs will no longer be available to users residing in the UK.
